My Reiki Journey started as soon as I heard the word Reiki in 2015, I knew automatically it was for me. I started taking classes at my Local Community College. I had a Friend who was training and told me about her experience. It was there that I received my Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 placements. I continued with Reiki Master/Instructor Mary Lehett and received my master Ignition in 2016. The title of Reiki Master means having the ability to assist Reiki Placements to others. It does not mean that a Reiki Master has knowledge of everything there is to learn. I think that would be an impossibility. It is my philosophy to always be learning and growing.

I started practicing on others immediately, this taught me through experience about my own intuitions that the Reiki ignited. I was immediately amazed and continue to be in awe and a state of gratitude for what I get to experience and witness during sessions. I created a Reiki studio in my home and developed a small practice. The benefits of doing this promoted my own healing to the point of no longer needing certain medications, and the ability to be calm and beneficial in situations that would have caused me to be debilitated.
My own path resembles the archetype of the wounded healer. I come from a background of personal mental health issues and alcoholism. Reiki has accompanied my healing journey of personal sobriety and the ability to assist others. I became a Certified Mental Health Peer Specialist and a Certified Recovery specialist and worked in Social Services for the local behavioral health commission. I got thrown a curve in my path and had to leave that position because of a persistent serious heart condition. I do not believe anything in my life to be an accident. In 2020 when the quarantine started, I was already confined at home with visiting health care. Then came the opportunity of a lifetime! Zoom has opened the world that I always wanted to reach! I had the opportunity to study under William Lee Rand and Coleen Benelli. I repeated my classes online and added Karuna Reiki as well. Access to these masters, and a whole new Reiki modality at a time when I could literally do nothing else! I had to experience it to believe it myself. The distance energy is so strong and laser accurate. It was important to me to learn in a modality that I would use to teach. As I continued my distant studies, my physical health became more perplexing. In June of 2020 I walked into the ER at the Cleveland Clinic. This was a lifesaving decision. It was there that I learned the underlying problem of my heart condition is a rare condition called sarcoidosis and is classified as an auto immune disorder. Treatment immediately started with doctors accepting of integrative health and my own Reiki path. I have not since come across a western medical doctor that does not accept this modality as well. Treatment has been challenging to say the least, but I now have a normal heart function!
The miracles of Reiki Healing along my path could be spoken of for days. I have been able to practice Reiki sessions and teach along the way. There is beauty in every day. There is nothing that I love more than the practice of Reiki and the clarity of the vision that it creates. We are all connected. When we heal ourselves, we heal everyone around us and the entire universe itself.)
